What happens to the file
What stays intact
- Pages are copied, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
- Only the fonts and resources the chosen pages use are carried over, which keeps the file small.
- Edited text, signatures and annotations belong to the page and come with it.
- Everything runs in your browser, with no upload.
Three steps
Drop the PDF. Every page is there in the editor.
Choose the pages. In Export, pick “Selected pages” and type what you need, e.g. 2, 5-8.
Export. The new file has exactly those pages, in document order.
What it will not do
- Extracting gives you one file. For several files at once — one per range — use the split tool.
- Pages come out in document order; reorder them in the pages view first if you need a different one.
- A part of a page cannot be extracted — the unit is a page.

Questions about this tool
How do I choose the pages?
Type them the way you would write them: “2, 5-8” takes page 2 and pages 5 to 8. Duplicates and pages past the end are ignored, and the count is shown as you type.
How is this different from splitting?
Extracting gives you one file with the pages you picked. Splitting gives you several files, one per range — that is on the split page.
Does the original change?
No. Extracting builds a new file; the document you opened is untouched, and your copy of it stays in this browser.
Can I extract and edit in one pass?
Yes. Fix the text or sign a page first, then export the selection — the edits are in the extracted file.
