What happens to the file
What stays intact
- Each part is built by copying pages — no rendering, so text stays text and images keep their resolution.
- Only the fonts and resources a part actually uses are carried into it, so the files stay small.
- Edits, signatures and watermarks travel with their page into whichever part it lands in.
- Every part is produced in this browser; nothing is uploaded.
Three steps
Drop the PDF. It opens in the editor, so you can fix anything before cutting.
Type the ranges. In Export, choose “Several files by range” and write them, e.g. 1-3, 4-9 — or pick “Every page as its own file”.
Split. Each part is listed with its size and downloads on its own, or all at once.
What it will not do
- Parts download one by one, not as a ZIP archive — a browser can hand you real PDFs without packing them first.
- Ranges are page numbers, not chapters: splitting at bookmark boundaries automatically is not there yet.
- Every part is a full export, so a document cut into dozens of files takes a moment per part.

Questions about this tool
How do I write the ranges?
As you would say them: “1-3, 4-9” makes two files, the first with pages 1 to 3 and the second with 4 to 9. A single number is a one-page file. Ranges outside the document are clipped.
Why does each part download separately?
Because a browser can hand you real PDFs without packing them into an archive first. Every part has its own Download, and “Download all” starts them one after another.
Can I edit before splitting?
Yes — that is the point of doing it here. Fix a sentence, sign the page, delete what you do not need, then split. Each part carries the edits on its pages.
Is there a limit?
The free plan opens files up to 50 MB and 500 pages; splitting itself has no extra limit.
