What happens to the file
What stays intact
- Pages are copied, never re-rendered: text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
- Fonts arrive from every source with the pages that use them, so nothing falls back to a substitute.
- Different page sizes and orientations are preserved — an A4 report and an A5 receipt keep their own dimensions.
- The merge runs in this browser; none of the files are uploaded.
Three steps
Drop the files. Add them one by one if you prefer — each is checked as it arrives.
Put them in order. Move a file up or down with the arrows, and drop anything you added by mistake.
Merge and open. The pages view shows the whole document, ready to reorder, rotate or export.
What it will not do
- Files are merged when the document is opened. Adding another file to a document you are already editing is not supported yet.
- Password-protected files cannot be merged directly: open such a file on its own, enter the password, export it and merge the copy.
- Bookmarks from the sources are not stitched into one outline; each page keeps its own content.
Questions about this tool
How many files can I merge?
As many as you like, as long as each one is within the free plan’s 50 MB. The merged document opens like any other, so the 500-page limit applies to the result.
How do I control the page order?
The list is the order: move a file up or down with the arrows before merging. After the merge you can drag individual pages in the pages view.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Open the locked file on its own first, enter its password and export it, then merge the exported copy — the merge tool tells you which file is locked.
Can I edit the text after merging?
Yes, that is the point of merging here: the result is a normal document in the editor, so you can rewrite a line, sign a page or add a watermark before exporting once.
