How it works
Three steps
Drop the PDF. The pages view shows how each page is oriented.
Rotate what came in sideways. Select a page or several and turn 90° at a time, or rotate the whole document.
Export. Readers, printers and previews all show the corrected orientation.
What stays intact
- The rotation goes into the page dictionary, so it is permanent rather than a view setting.
- Content is not re-rendered: text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
- Editing works on rotated pages too — the editor follows the page’s own coordinate system.
- Rotation is one undo step per action.
What it will not do
- Rotation works in 90° steps. Straightening a scan by a few degrees needs image processing and is not part of the editor.
- The page turns as a whole; a single image or paragraph cannot be rotated on its own.
- Text on rotated pages stays read-only in the cases the editor already reports, such as text drawn at an angle.
Questions about this tool
Why does my PDF open sideways in some apps only?
Because the rotation was applied in the viewer, not saved in the file. Rotating here writes it into the document, so every app agrees.
Can I rotate a single page in a long document?
Yes — select just that thumbnail and rotate it.
Does rotating affect the text I edited?
No. Edits belong to the page, so they rotate with it.
Can I straighten a scan that is a few degrees off?
Not yet — rotation works in 90° steps. Deskewing a scan needs image processing and is not part of PDFinline today.
